Who says Indian sweets can’t be part of your weight loss journey?

Introducing the Weight Loss Pinni—a healthy twist on the traditional North Indian winter sweet that has now made its way to summer diets as well. As the Best Summer Dietitian in Greater Noida, I, Dt. Poonam Sharma, strongly believe that a sustainable diet is not about deprivation. It’s about smart substitutions and wholesome nourishment.

Yes, you can enjoy sweets—even on a fat-loss plan. Let me show you how.

🍬 What is Pinni?

Traditionally, Pinni is a Punjabi delicacy made with wheat flour, sugar, ghee, and dry fruits, enjoyed for its energy-boosting properties. But the regular version is calorie-dense and not suitable for daily consumption—especially if you’re watching your waistline.

That’s why I’ve created a Weight Loss version of Pinni—rich in fiber, protein, and healthy fats, without added sugar or refined flour.

💪 Why This Weight Loss Pinni Works

Key Benefits:

  • Boosts metabolism with clean ingredients
  • Controls sugar cravings naturally
  • Improves digestion with fiber-rich ingredients
  • Supports hormonal balance in PCOD & thyroid
  • Great snack for working professionals and mothers

At Health First Diet Clinic, I often recommend this recipe to clients who want something sweet yet healthy during snack time or as a post-dinner treat.

✅ Ingredients:

  • 1 cup roasted oats flour (or sattu)
  • ½ cup flaxseed powder (boosts omega-3 and fiber)

  • 6–7 dates (seedless) – soaked & blended into a paste
  • 2 tbsp ghee (don’t worry, it supports fat burning in moderation)
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Optional: Chopped walnuts or pumpkin seeds for added crunch

🥄 How to Make:

  1. Dry roast oats flour till light golden and aromatic.
  2. Add flaxseed and almond/peanut powder and roast for 2–3 minutes.
